I started this habit ever since God sent me out to a foreign land on May 3rd 2010. Then I was unemployed and passing by East Malaysia in a hotel in Asia City Kota Kinabalu.

I was wondering how I would have survive the difficulties, and then the hymn I have chosen was "What A Friend I have In Jesus”. Since than, God had settled me down here for 3 years now. This is a job and a place I have stayed longest in my professional life.

Later on in 3rd May 2011, God has just begin stabling my life over here. That is when I dedicated the hymn “Thanks to God” . On 3rd May 2012, I shared about the “Hymn Day By Day”. I am thinking, would it be too hard to continue dedicating hymns to God on 3rd May? My church had a 523 hymn hymnbook, I believe I would use less than 1/5 of the hymnbook for this endeavor.(Unless I have the lifespan of Yoda or Methuselah, then I should be worried of not having enough hymns to do that)

For the past few years the grace of God, had been always there for me. Indeed, there are still problems that are encountered on a daily basis, and there are also much things that disappoints in life.

There are also  unanswered prayer request and some problems remain the same since 2010 and show no signs of improvement.

But I know, that God has been watching over me still, and what is most important is that God had also prepared many good things and precious things for me this year. There is much improvement and happiness that will come. Out of which I would give thanks to God ceaselessly.

With Gods blessing also comes more responsibility for the year to come. More people that will be in my care and in my life. Sometimes I wonder how I would be able to handle them. For I know I am a man of many weakness.

God once comforted Paul when he was praying to God to remove the torn of his flesh .

“My grace is sufficient for you, for My
  strength is made perfect in weakness.”- Jesus (2 Cor 12:9)

Paul’s response to the Lord is written in the next few verses

“Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities,
  that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take
  pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions,
  in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I
   m strong.” – Paul (2 Cor 12:9-10)

Indeed as I look into the future there is much more new responsibilities and there are many questions that I have yet to answer. There are also much path that I require God to continue to guide me. But I am sure he will lead me all the way.

That leads me to the story of Fanny J Crosby. Apparently once in 1874 she ran into a difficulty, where she did not have enough money for rent. She committed the matter to God. Miraculously a stranger came and give her just enough money for the rent.

So later that night, she pondered over the incident and was inspired to pen down the lyrics of this Hymn.

No matter how difficult that road is before me, there are many questions about the future that I am unsure of what to do, and where to go. But I will remember that Jesus would lead me all the way.  Lets enjoy this hymn together.

Title: All The Way The Savor Leads Me
Lyrics : Fanny J Crosby
Music : Robert Lowry

  1. All the way my Savior leads me,
    What have I to ask beside?
    Can I doubt His tender mercy,
    Who through life has been my Guide?
    Heav’nly peace, divinest comfort,
    Here by faith in Him to dwell!
    For I know, whate’er befall me,
    Jesus doeth all things well;
    For I know, whate’er befall me,
    Jesus doeth all things well.
  2. All the way my Savior leads me,
    Cheers each winding path I tread,
    Gives me grace for every trial,
    Feeds me with the living Bread.
    Though my weary steps may falter
    And my soul athirst may be,
    Gushing from the Rock before me,
    Lo! A spring of joy I see;
    Gushing from the Rock before me,
    Lo! A spring of joy I see.
  3. All the way my Savior leads me,
    Oh, the fullness of His love!
    Perfect rest to me is promised
    In my Father’s house above.
    When my spirit, clothed immortal,
    Wings its flight to realms of day
    This my song through endless ages:
    Jesus led me all the way;
    This my song through endless ages:
    Jesus led me all the way.
